I’m just back from a sunshine filled holiday in Florida!

What a tonic that was.

It was gorgeous – but now I find myself back to reality in the rather drab end of January weather here in the UK.

So, in an effort to lift the sprits, I thought I’d create a bit of my own sunshine with this juicy orange painting.

The level of detail inside oranges can often be thoroughly daunting. Where to start!?

So in this little video I share with you my technique for capturing those juicy details.

Why not have a go this weekend and post your results via social media using #AnnaMasonArt for me to see.

And do let me know about your own experiences painting citrus fruits in the comments.

Happy painting!

    Dear Anna,
After two weeks of travel, with stops along the way, we have arrived in Florida, very close to where you painted/taught at Sarasota.

Will you teach there again? I hope so, because I would like to attend your lecture/workshop, if I could only coordinate my visits when you will be there.

Please publish, through the school, future dates. I would appreciate it very much.

As for my painting, I have now received all the paints/brushes and I intend to work on the projects during the next two months, so I’ll be submitting examples soon,

Thank you Anna, for what you are doing in the school. We appreciate it, out here in virtual land!

You can almost taste the sweetness of that juicy Florida orange! A real taste of summer.
