Achieving 3D effects when working in layers with watercolour is really straightforward so in this little video I show you how I use the method to layer up and create these round little mushrooms:

Why not make some time this weekend to paint some mushrooms (then fry them up with garlic – delicious!)

    Thank you so much Anna for all your helpful painting tips, I will try these mushrooms soon as right now I’m working on a flower following your layering technique which, I find it very interesting when looking for a wow watercolor results.

    You didn’t mention what colours you used, just a ‘beige’ mix. My beige mix consists or Rose Madder, Indigo, and Hooks Green dark.

    You don’t actually mention the colours you used…beige and grey are very ambiguous!
